FreecMT Viewer is the software application for viewing, monitoring and remotely controlling the human-machine interfaces (HMIs) of Weintek's advanced cMT and cMT X series. Unlike classic VNC (Virtual Network Computing) utilities, which simply mirror the physical screen and lock control of the terminal to a single user, cMT Viewer introduces a completely different approach: separating the data processing unit (the HMI server) from the viewing interface (the graphical client). Installing this software on an engineering station, an industrial PC or a mobile device gives you a native client interface, able to run the panel's graphics engine independently. That means several engineers or operators can monitor and control the same industrial process at once from different points in the plant, each on a completely different screen, without interfering with the physical panel in the field or with what the other connected users are doing.
Because cMT Viewer downloads the graphical elements and caches them locally on the client device, only the raw data packets travel over the network (bit states, register values and PLC tags). That cuts the bandwidth used dramatically and removes the visual lag typical of VNC video streams, keeping screens instantly up to date even over wireless or cellular connections.
The software lets you set up your own list of the cMT/cMT X panels active on the network. A user can switch between terminals in one click, or watch the overall state of several production lines at once, bringing all the information together on a single monitor or control console.
The application is optimised to recognise advanced multi-touch commands on compatible screens, allowing pinch-to-zoom, swiping to change pages, and dynamic interaction with historical trend charts or alarm tables.
